Since I used Zapfino in my Campaign project, it reminded me of a poem I wrote a few years ago in my UB Publication and Performance class. I'd love to hear your poems--what, don't tell me I'm the only one who writes erotic poems about typography. ;)
Great Poem Stephanie. A favorite font of mine and I too have used it in my campaign, but that may change. Once I find a favorite it mostly has to pried from my grip!
Thanks! I know what you mean about holding on tight to favorites--I'm like that with everything, especially food. Once I order something I love, I cannot bring myself to order anything else. ;)
Thanks--you should still write one. I am certain I am not the only one, although I've not read any before. I bet if I google font poems, there will be a million. I challenge you to write one.
Thanks, Jenny!

DeleteThis is so wonderful -- a poetic ode to a font! Why didn't I ever think of that?

DeleteThis is the best thing I have very read. AMAZING. You should do a whole series of typography poems. I could see them letterpressed into a card set!
ReplyDeleteSuch high praise--I'll take it. Thank you! I love your idea and will consider pursuing this project.
